About the event
Slaughter Daughters is exactly what it sounds like: Women gathering for the slaughter. We will humanely slaughter a lamb, field dress it and prepare it for underground cooking. This training will include tool safety, food safety, what to do with the scraps and how to properly prepare and store the meat. We will gather with an honoring of the life of the animal as well as an honoring the the work necessary to feed our families. This event is not for everyone, but for those who eat meat and appreciate the gaining of the skill, we want to share this valuable information. At all Brawny Broads workshops, you will have hands-on experience, classroom learning as well as the opportunity to ask questions, reflect in nature and connect with other Soil Sisters.
